Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is born in Romania and is a Romanian actor and TV host. Her most well-known work is the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. The only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into entertainment early and began playing lead roles in different television dramas by the time she was just 16. The critically acclaimed character she played in the show Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play several other acclaimed parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. It won an Oscar and received critical acclaim. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominated movies featuring the divas. In the past, Alexandra has worked in several notable international and national projects. The most notable of these include British biographical films Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French history mini-series Napoleon among others. Additionally, she was part of both the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
